Key Founding Members of the Community
Recruited as not only the founding members of the Thunder Bay Indian Friendship Society, but also the founding members of the Housing Program, was due to their vast experience in understanding and dealing with issues that arise as Native families moved into the City of Thunder Bay for education, employment, and health reasons.

According to the Letters Patent, the first Directors of the Corporation are Cyril B. Pierre, Margret T. Pierre, Marlene A. Pierre, Xavier Michon, and Wallace V. Dubinsky, as registered in the Province of Ontario on the 26th day of February in the year of our Lord, one thousand nine hundred and seventy-three (1973). Aims and Objectives are also included within the Letters Patent, which are still relevant today.
Currently, the Board of Directors, as well as Administration and Maintenance staff, govern the Native People of Thunder Bay Development Corporation.
